Did you recently transplant it? Wiggling can happen until it has a chance to put down new roots, or is you didn't plant it deep enough.

How large is your pot in relation to the actual violet plant? Post a pix if you can.

A photo would probably help. Otherwise, my guess would be that it was over-watered and the neck is rotting a bit.

Or ... sometimes the central stem (i.e. neck) has narrowed to the point where the plant is not held firmly. A solution is to go ahead and decapitate the plant (i.e. cut/remove the crown from the stalk ... and restart it in fresh potting soil ...

Be aware, if it hasn't recently been transplanted, even if it hasn't been overwatered, it may be becoming disconnected from its roots ... thanks all I think I will take it out of the dirt and reroot it and hopefully that will do the trick.
