How is your pachyclada doing, SLD?

Mine has been fine for nearly a year then suddenly started getting yellowing leaves and dropping them.

It's doing fine now. I don't know what caused the mottling. It doesn't show now. Maybe uneven watering at that time? Beats me. I hope yours starts doing well again.

Thank you! I'm not sure what's happening with mine other than there are some mealybugs. They exist pretty much everywhere now. Some hoyas are less sensitive to them. Pachy could be one that is more sensitive.

I decided to go ahead and repot it today into a terra cotta pot with chunky mix. The roots looked good when I unpotted it. I'll just hope for the best now.

Most of my hoyas are in plastic nursery pots or leca. Kerii seems to prefer terra cotta and I am thinking maybe pachy will too. Hope! At least my pachy isn't a variegated one so if it doesn't make it, it won't be difficult to replace.

From what I've read, I think that pachy does like it a little drier and somewhat sunnier than most Hoyas, so terra cotta probably makes sense. I have mine in plastic pots that I 3d printed that have holes in the sides, so they dry out faster than regular plastic pots. Actually all my Hoyas are either in these pots or terra cotta.

Good that the roots on yours look good. I actually let my variegated one dry out too much, so some of the leaves got kind of dessicated and look a bit crummy. Oh well :-(

One of mine did this and the grower I got it from told me to repot... it was needing fresh nutrients. And since we have a rainy season here he told me to place it in a drier location.
