It does look great, I am looking forward to see ripen MIB, just because Figaholik says they are all one fig variety.

Ever since I got my and have seen other "Black Madeiras" that fig growers posted, that they are way to similar, but I am not planing to argue about it 🙂

Here is update

MiB tasted good it was a taste of mixed berry's but faint tasting and did not linger on the palate like a black madeira afterwards, the eye was tight but its just 1 fig from plant.

The skin on this lone fig was not as chewy as a black madeira .

Next season will give a better gauge of this plant if it makes it through dormancy.

Wow that ripened beautifully in 4 days.

It does looks like Black Madeira or Violeta, it just looks more teardrop like.

How did it compare to Black Madeira ?

Anna picture taken on Sept 8th posted on 9th was already turning before the 8th so more like 7 or 9 days total. i fondly recall eating my 1st madeira eleven or twelve years back off our young black madeira and after eating figs since a young child B.Madeira was and still is the best fig and become addicted to its taste profile ever since .

This fig did not have that strong berry madeira taste that tends to linger on palate after eaten with this 1 fig tasted truly wish there were more to try .

To compare it to madeira will have to wait another season or two and with more figs eaten from plant.
