I think they all work together. I much prefer a mix of styles versus all one style.

French Country is known for it's fabrics. I like the small cabinet but the chair doesn't say French Country and while the rug fits the chair it too isn't this style. Even if you only want the influence you should find some true French Country inspiration pics to get a feel for the “pure”style. Then you can change it up with other pieces without going astray.

Thank you Sharon and nhb22. I am having such a hard time defining my style. I'm kind of all over the place. When I look at French country inspo that's not quite it. although I like some of the elements. A couple of people have suggested to me that I'm a modern version of French country. So I thought that sounded good. But I'm not sure that's it either. I find things I like and sometimes they work together and sometimes not. Split personality not good!

Why must we label our style? As long as the room/house is cohesive and pleasing to the eye it's all good.

fwiw, the cabinet does not look country to me. Measure twice, buy once. Next find at least one, if not two, pieces of art for the room and pull colors from it so your room doesn't end up monochromatic (unless that's what you want).
