Kitchen and entryway project

Looking for some feedback on the kitchen and entryway improvements. The first picture is standing at the main entrance. I use the side entrance shown on the far right more frequently.

The carpet under dining set is small and will be replaced. The countertop came with the house, and is staying. I am not a big fan of the countertop color or the pattern, but I am not looking to spend money to replace it.

I am trying to mute the color of the granite countertops. I am considering painting the bottom cabinets BM Kendall Charcoal black. I want to get some brushed nickel hardware to contrast with the darker color. The top cabinets will probably be BM Chantilly Lace white with the same brushed nickel hardware.

I want to get some tile backsplash. If I can't find a simple uncomplicated style of tiles, I might get white subway tile.

I am looking into getting some under cabinet lighting.

I want to paint the entire area BM Intense White (which believe it or not is very yellow. I have it in my living room adjacent to this area (left door). The area including the kitchen is currently BM Litchfield Gray which was done by the previous owner. It is too dull and... beige, for my taste.

Eventually I will paint all the trim and doors BM Chantilly Lace white. But not sure when I will get to that.

The bathroom is showing BM Pistachio Ice Cream colored wall, which looks great, and which is what I am trying to work in this area. Some sage would look great on the front wall, but the area is too small and I am not sure I can paint the entire room sage green.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
