Eliminating pink and purple really restricts your choices. Are you OK with a lighter lavender blue or a deep rosy pink or are you restricting yourself to white? There aren’t any reds without a pinkish tone or blues without a purple tone.

I don't have a recommendation on the clematis, but I have ordered from Sooner a few years ago. The plant was large and in great condition. It was just kind of pricey, but they were the only place that had what I wanted.

I haven’t bought from Sooner, but I have bought Clematis from Brushwood, Joy Creek, Hummingbird Farm, and Bluestone Perennials. They each have different varieties, some range of sizes and a range in cost, but all have grown well for me.

Does that mean you only want reds or whites?

Would bluish do? Perle d’azur might work.

Sweet Autumn Clematis has white flowers and dark glossy leaves. The only problem is that it is invasive in many areas. Please promise to cut it back after flowering if you get it! (The seedlings are hard to dig up, even with a trowel.)

I already have SAC on my shed and I do cut it back every yr. as soon as it's done blooming. Haven't had any problems yet and its been there 7 yr. We're in NE Ok.
