Inoculating with what? If you mean with mycorrhizal fungi, unless your property was heavily farmed before development, it is pretty much unnecessary. They exist everywhere. It is more of a marketing hype than a necessary garden addition.

in my opinion.. its all marketing mumbo jumbo to sell you stuff you dont need ... period ...

and make sure you read literature that is not from the marketers ...

trees seed themselves all over the face of the earth.;. with no help from any man nor woman ... why do those in your yard need anything extra ....

I did my thesis/final paper on mycorrhizae in hort school :-)

Of course, if you are growing Oaks or Hazelnut trees, want to get rich and have years of patience, you could inoculate them for truffles...
