does that pot have drainage.. and i dont mean rocks in the bottom ...

and it seems odd that the hole in the top is not as wide as the pot below ... im wondering if that is complicating air and water movement thru the media ...

how far is it from the light source ...

youve had it 8 weeks.. and problems started 2 weeks ago ... thats a pretty fast time frame ...

did you repot it when you brought it home?? ... was the media stained brown like that when you got it with nursery soil ... or has it browned since repotting with clean media. .. such browning is the usual sign of over watering .. and/or lack of drainage ...

Yes the pot has a drainage hole (it's an hanging pot, which is... not hung 😅). Didn't find a proper sized pot at the time except this one.

It's about 2 meters / 7.5 feet from the window.

Yes, I repotted it about a week after I brought it home: 50% cactus & succulent soil / 50% perlite. The soil does seem very much brown which is strange, the visible perlite in my other plants is much, much whiter. I think over watering is unlikely as I waited until the soil was completely dry? I actually thought it was UNDER watered as the yellowing started a week after the 21 days 'drought'?

Are you saying this can be related to the pot/the way it sits on the saucer? I can try letting it sit w/o it for couple of days and watch what it does to the soil?
