IMO that mix would work if the windows were not identical but in this case I woudld do the samee for both I also think solar shades would be great type window covering in a no office where light and heat control might be an issue and I would like to keep the view during the day they also give you daytime privacy .and honestly if night time privacy is not an issue you could go with no other window covering or just drapes you can either leave open or close if you want something on those windows

Thanks for your response. Privacy isn’t an issue and I love our black windows. You think I could just do a solar shade on window behind desk and nothing at all on the front window? I think otherwise I would go with curtains on all the windows. Which do you think would look better? Thanks again!

I would do roller shades on both windows. They take up less space than roman shades and block less of the window than curtains.

I don’t want to do a roller shade on front window since the other window facing outside of house is dining room and I plan to put curtains in there. I want the window treatment to look the same from outside when looking into house. I know this limits options! We did roller shades in the upstairs of house.

If you like symmetry then go with just panels.

I like using both roman shades and curtains.
