Kitchen Design suggestions needed

Hi, we are redesigning our kichen and knocking through to our extension and making part of the extension a continuation of our kitchen. Firstly was hoping for an island but I was told the opening to the extension is too narrow!
So I need a design that links both rooms, has worktop space and fits the usual appliance. Any advice would be great. Thank you

How long is a ball of string? How much is ”a car”? Anywhere from a $500 consult to 50K complete project handholding on a 500K renovation.

Are you looking for a kitchen designer then? You’ll need to list your location for that. Unless you’re looking for one that does online design? I can recommend the kitchen designer my firm uses for that. I went through too many before we found her, so I like to give her all the business that I can.

While you are thinking of getting a designer, there are many threads on this site that will speak to needed clearances for an island. Also useful tools to help you start thinking about what sort of kitchen you want/need based on who lives in your house, how you cook etc. Start there, and you will be able to focus your thoughts and be better prepared when you do speak with someone. (I would link them here but am technologically challenged...)

Thank you, I will keep thinking and planning before I go down that route although I am slightly running out of time. How much does a designer cost approximately?
