SOS! Cortec Grande Petronas Oak VV662 04013

Hi Houzz people,

I am trying to find 7 boxes LVP of 9" Cortec PlusGrande VV662 in Grande Petronas Oak color 04013. I've been calling stores and keep hearing no one has it in stock. My builder ordered the wrong amount and now I'm scrambling to find some. This plea for help on Houzz is my way of putting this out to the universe hoping to find someone with some cartons available....... Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Not sure if this is accurate or not but flooringmarket.com shows they have it as does FloorCity.com I assume you have checked but... hope this helps

Hi Carol, I have reached out to both vendors and waiting to hear back. It seems most of these websites order direct from Coretec when they get an order. Coretec is behind on production and not shipping until next year. Fingers crossed - I'll post when I find out if they do indeed have it in stock. Thanks for helping.

countrylark, where are you located? Also, we're looking at this exact flooring so I would love to see your pictures of it installed. How are you liking it so far?

    Bill & Lynne,
I’m in SC and the floor is partially installed. We haven’t moved in yet. I love the floor appearance. The builder was skeptical of my choice - they typically install high end natural hardwood floors. However, now that he has seen mine he is looking at it for his personal home. The main pluses are the thick construction of the plank mimics the feel of natural wood under your feet. The wide planks are expensive if natural wood. The patterns on the planks are very realistic and varied which looks great.
A negative is that the floor won’t be shiny. It is a matte finish. The finish will scratch and once we move in I’ll have a better idea of how it holds up to dogs and kids.
I did the entire house except the bathrooms. It looks like we won’t move in until 2022 due to the floor supply problem.

Wow, thank you for this reply! It looks great so far and I too love the varied patterns so it doesn’t look too fake! It’s interesting how pictures don’t capture true colors because this picture makes them look a bit more grayish brown, which I know it’s not and actually more of a warm brown, is that right?! Here’s a picture of my two samples to show the difference between your picture and mine. Please post pics/videos when the floor is complete! Thank you!

Ha, I'm now looking at your picture on my computer instead of my iphone and the color is much more realistic! Guess it's my iphone, I think I need a new one, lol!

countrylark, have you moved into your house yet? I’m curious how the floors are holding up? We are also in SC very close to Charlotte and building a new home. We were originally looking at lighter LVP colors but I’m intrigued by Petronas.

I’m looking forward to her reply! And Ashley, I’ll also look forward to which flooring you choose. Top on my list is the Pertronas and hoping to convince hubby of same!

I would love to know your thoughts on the flooring. Has it held up?

@countrylark - Can you post more pics of your Grande Petronas floors? Still like it? Was there enough variation/prints in boards?

You also mention color 04013. Are they different colors of Grande Petronas or does this refer to a manufacturing run so color consistent?

I’m very happy with flooring after 2 years of 4 people, 2 dogs and 1 cat. The video is of the 70lb dog scrambling on the floor which she does every day waiting for breakfast. This section of the floor also is a high traffic area between the kitchen and the laundry & back door. Which is the most heavily used door of the house.
The photo is a closer look at the same floor area. It has held up beautifully.
There are repeat patterns in the grain but it doesn’t detract in my opinion. I’m a fine art painter and sensitive to patterns and it doesn’t bother me. I’m extremely satisfied with the choice of this flooring after living with it for the past two years.

We installed the Grande Petronas Oak two months ago, and I like the look of the varying colors in the planks. The sample is representative of the lighter color, but it worked out for us. There are about 5 distinct "marks" in the pattern, that I, as a designer, was very observant of upon installation. I watched the installers and worked with them to not place the same "marks" near each other, especially side by side, thus making it look not synthetic. If the manufacturer would remove these "marks", I would 100% recommend. As it stands, if I could not have supervised the installation, I would not be happy about placement and the finished product. If your eye is detailed, just be aware.

Pictures of my Grande Petronas Oak! After 15 months, we can say it holds up great. We have two (50-60lb) standard poodles and two cats. I’ve not noticed any scratches or anything! They’ve been great.
