wall decor for kitchen

Hi, recently painted updated my kitchen from the Tuscan era. I cannot figure out what to do with this wall. I just know I don’t care for what is there now. My kitchen is small, limited counter space so the cart is staying. What do I do with these walls and the large window in breakfast area? Privacy is a concern, as that window faces a neighboring home. Will post pics of rest of kitchen in comments.

    Rest of kitchen for context.

Also, my husband and I are both in the radiology field, and Albert Koetsier’s X-ray botanical photos really appeal to me, but not sure how to incorporate them, or if I even should. Here are some examples

What a nice space! I would do curtain panels to frame the window in a colorful pattern, then choose some botanical prints from the same color family. And maybe a coordinated rug for the kitchen, at least in front of the sink.

Yes, I think a few more art pieces will add a lot and the botanical prints would be great. Adding curtain panels, as @ShadyWillowFarm suggests would add a lot of warmth and design.

How should the art be arranged? The piece that is there isn’t staying. Should I have something centered over the whole wall? Something centered over the cart? Centered over the cart and something else in breakfast nook? I am struggling to lay this out

I think the window is begging for a bench or window seat. I don't know what to suggest for the size and placement of artwork on the blank wall, but if you are going to have radiography images specially printed, then try choosing and positioning the frames first. You can then have your images printed to the sizes of the frames.

Oh Maria—that has been a vision of mine for the space as well. But wouldn’t know where to start having one made

Post to Nextdoor or a local facebook group to ask for a recommendation for a carpenter.

Gorgeous prints! Four of those prints framed large enough to do an arrangement (2 top, 2 bottom) to fill the space to the left of the cabinet. Bottom edges of frames below the level of the cabinet top.

I love the botanical x-ray prints! Depending on size, I'd get either 3 or 5 prints (all of the same orientation and size) and frame them all in the same style simple frame (or canvas with no frame if that's an option), then hang them in a straight line, horizontally.

Or if you get them in a small size, and can frame them all in square frames, you could even do a wall of 9 as below. But that might feel like too much to you.

I'd recommend cutting out paper sized to the size of the canvases, and hanging those on the wall first before you decide how many to order.

You could perhaps do the x-ray botanical prints over the cart. You could also try doing a large print that goes with it where the coffee print currently is. It could look kind of like this design of ours:
