Oh Heck Paul. I'm the wrong person to ask about fragrance. Too many years of allergies and all, there's only a small range of roses I can smell well. Most Noisettes. Wichurana derivatives. But Damask is lost to me, along with a lot of others.

As to color -- I do get that lovely purple. But right now, they're still red-toned. Right next to 'Eugene de Beauharnais,' which is still redder than not.
