Last year, I threw a party in our back yard. We set up a bar in a darker part of the yard, and the bartender needed light. I brought out two lamps from the house and plugged them in with an extension cord & a surge protector. BAM! Within a couple of hours, EVERY light bulb in both lamps had EXPLODED! I had no idea this would happen!! Can anyone explain to me why? Any suggestions for how to use a regular indoor lamp outside, just for 4 hours or so?
