Assuming just leave them alone?

I recommend that you vacuum them away, then dispose outside. They smell terrible when startled or grabbed and vacuuming avoids that. You don't want them inside your home.....they are known to nip at your skin and larger accumulations can be dirty and stinky.

The Asian Lady Beetles are an alien, invasive species that have been reducing the populations of our natives.

They have a habit of breaking into homes when it starts to cool off thinking it'll be a safe spot to overwinter. Sometimes you'll find attics of older homes full of corpses. So now is the time of year when the ladybugs invade. You might get a few or you might get significant numbers.

(They were introduced intentionally to North America and while they've certainly displaced native critters, they are still beneficial to YOUR garden like any ladybug. Plus, note all the different cool colors they come in!)

The orange asian kind bite and they skunk when disturbed. They’re so gross. They’ll stink up your vacuum. Take a stiff cardstock scrap and a bowl or other container and flick them all in carefully and evict them.

They don't smell any worse than other ladybug species. You just haven't checked. :P

I played with the native red ladybugs as a kid. They never bit or skunked. I’m no entomologist, but these invaders are nasty 🤢
