paint window trim?

Hi, I am wondering how difficult it would be to paint the window trim in this sliding door? The sliding door is new, (purchased by previous owners) and works well, but the colour is not good. By the trim I mean the beige metal, not the wood trim that is throughout the house and will stay. Thinking either black or the same white as the walls if it’s feasible?

+1, looks more like vinyl.

Vinyl is probably the hardest material to paint and end up with a long term, durable finish. That said, it can be done, I'd just suggest having it done by a professional to ensure thet right prep and materials are used.
