Shower pan install problem

I am installing a shower pan. The space it is going is exactly 60" wide. When purchasing the shower pan I thought I was good because the box says 60" wide but it is actually 60 1/2". So I cannot fit it in between the studs. Any ideas besides purchasing a 48" pan? Cut back the studs a 1/2" maybe?

Cut the studs, but I'd try severing the nails in the top and bottom plates and a sledge hammer first.

notching the studs creates another issue w the integral tile flange that must be tiled into waterproofing or the integral wall panels.
