My wintered over collection

Not including all those upstairs in the windows.

Showing some strange growth on my S. Cleopatra. Three above ground stolen from one point. Never seen growth like this before. This is going to lead to a very heavy thick plant in a few years.

This is from the same plant that produced that strange bottom growing rhizome straight down that kept up rooting the plant several times before I had to remove it. It was over 8 inches long. It finally produced a side growing pup of it's own.

That Cleopatra is something. Those offsets are really crowding each other. That rhizome was something, as well.

I was just thinking about that very long downward growing rhizome, It may not have sprouted since being on it's own due to being planted in reverse. I have it facing upward and it never sprouted but grew a side offshoot. Come spring I am going to plant it side ways to see if that triggers it to sprout. The one Cleopatra with the many side shoots is growing from a surface growing rhizome. Might be some thing to that. I don't want to do it now due to space requirements.
