You can try to remove one corner and see how it goes. They may be only pin nailed with little to no glue. If they are glued well, the doors will probably need to be replaced.

The galley rail is probably just nailed on and should come off easily.

Buy new doors.

Take one of the doors off and try to get something really flat under that corner piece -something like a nail file or "gapping tool". (That's the wrong name, but I can't remember the correct name. It is a tool that is filled with little flat strips of metal and is used to adjust the gap on spark plugs). It's likely that the door was painted after the trim was attached. So, very carefully try to get under that corner piece by just breaking the paint seal. If it is glued, you won't be able to get between the corner piece and the door. If it not glued, you should be able to get in there. if you accidentally pop the corner piece off, you can always glue it back.

If you can't remove it, maybe you can buy new cabinet doors. If they are stock sized cabinets, they shouldn't be extremely expensive.

I think you will improve the situation a bunch by just removing the chair rail.

If it were me, I would remove the rail first, since that is what I think is making the cabs dated, and I would keep the corner details – I like them! But of course depends on your style, style of your home, etc

I like the corner details too. Not so much that rail though, that needs to go.

If you are not painting, the finish will be a different color underneath the details from oxidation.
