I think whether you choose a queen or two twins depends on who usually uses your guest room.

What about twin beds with no side table but headboards instead?

The beds can be pushed together or pulled apart depending on who is sleeping in them.

Twin beds are a great idea to increase flexibility for sleeping various guest combos. Extra long twins even better for adult guests. Gorgeous table between good but a piece with drawers for longer staying guests better. Maybe room for 2 lamps, one for each bed.

I think twins will work - get 2 small nightstands, 1 for each bed though. I’m pretty sure you can fit that, as our guest room is about 1’ less In width and we have plenty of room for 2 tables. Get twin XL, by the way as KW suggests. I bought a strap and filler pad on Amazon (about $40) to turn my twins into a King to use occasionally as needed. I put a nice thick topper on top so no one feels the split area and use King linens. That said - I’ve had a helluva tone finding really nice bedding for twins, XL or regular. Lots of kid themes because it’s usually used for kids. I actually crocheted some pretty need spreads. You may have to look at custom Or altering a Full or Queen to fit.

I actually found nice fabric blend in nice solid colors for twin xlong at Bed Bath Beyond. They had good selection in fall for college dorm beds. I needed them for twin sized air beds - those are part of my infrequent family guest sleeping arsenal!

You will gain much-needed floor space by converting the outswing closet doors to bypass doors.

Yes twin beds are good in a guest room. I think that is much better than one bigger bed.

I had twin beds in the guest room in the keys. It worked well when our son came down with buddies to go fishing. Once he was married we put in a queen. I know that I don’t like sleeping on a twin, but that might just be me.

2 twins are bigger than a queen so I have no clue what the advantage would be I think more to the point is who usually uses the guest room , couples or singles maybe a single with a trundle that pops up to make a king when needed

I had a queen in guest room that exact size. It was so crowded. I recently went with 2 twins and there seems to be so much more room. Go with the twins!!

What about a full bed with a twin trundle below?
