Don't forget: rabbit rabbit!

last modified: 4 years ago

November flew by like a speeding bullet!

Tomorrow is the 1st of the month and if the first words out of your mouth are "rabbit rabbit" you'll have good luck all month. Anytime after midnight is fine and no need to say it to anyone.

Best of luck to all.

Lol! For kicks, I did this the first time I saw you post about it. I immediately had 3 problems occur. I won’t test my luck by doing it again. :O)

i have done it regularly for many months and DH has too but he missed last month. We have had good and bad happen since we started saying ” rabbit rabbit”…. hm probably would be that scenario anyway!🤦‍♀️😂 Not taking any chances… Thank you @Annie Deighnaugh

Thank you once again for the reminder. When I say rabbit rabbit with my family it puts a smile on everyone's face. It would be really nice to think that it would put money in our pockets as well or at least some luck. :-)

I was curious about this so googled it. Here's some history and trivia about it.

    Thank you for the reminder!

Annie, can you text me this around 11:59 tonight? I try to remember when the 1rst rolls around, but usually my first words after midnight are, ”STOP SNORING PLEASE”.

Hahah Jinx...before you go to bed, just keep practicing "Rabbit Rabbit Stop Snoring Please!!""

I will have Rabbit, rabbited all year, and so far so good :-) Thank you, Annie.

I FINALLY remembered! Thanks for the reminder

    ☺️

I said it when I woke up about 1:30 a.m. DH said it just now. We're good to go...

Well, what you say is true, Annie, but I forgot last night, spoke to my cat about something in the wee hours as she tried to get me up, and this morning on the computer got the best news I could have gotten about yet another crisis at the house I'm building and expect to move into in a little over 2 weeks.

Well Rabbit, Rabbit was the first thing I knowingly said out loud - as long as mutterings, murmurings and talking in your sleep don't automatically negate it.

I remembered around 12:30. Thanks for the reminder, I can't keep track of what day it is!

    Nailed it.

    Yeah, i remembered, too!

    Sigh.

DH’s phone went off in the middle of the night (some notification about something). It woke me up and I said, ”WHY is your phone ….” then I looked at the clock — 12:09. I yelled ”Rabbit, rabbit!” and scared both of us. But it was too late.

We both remembered…well DH had it shouted in his direction at 6 AM and he echoed ,I had already whispered it at 1AM .

The good thing about waking up thru the night is that I say Rabbit rabbit. I say it every time I wake up just to make sure. A good thing, because the first thing that came out of my mouth when I got up was saying Hi to Bud.

I remembered! good thing bc I need it!

I actually did this today, for the first time ever. When I first wake up I am not inclined to talk to anyone about anything so I stumble around in a hazy blur until the first cup of coffee kicks in. I happened to be reading here before I'd said a word to anyone, and so got my first ever "rabbit rabbit" in before I said anything else out loud.

Pressure is on folks - let's hope it works. LOL.

Dadgum it! I could use a little good luck, and I stayed up past midnight last night, but I forgot it...as I always do. I still have my buried money that I need to give away too. Need to get busy on that.

I said it too. I've had two times that money came to me within a week. One was a sizable check from a hospital I had been in and the next was a sale of an item that I thought was worthless and brought in seven grand.

Yes, like Annie and a few more of you, at 2:30-ish a.m. I was quietly saying it. It seemed to work last month as I had some required minimum distribution funds that needed attention.

Umm, well we will have to consider this month a control group data point in order to test the validity of this process.

Okay, for next time- remember to say, “Rabbit Rabbit Happy New Year!” at the stroke of midnight!

I wonder how much worse my luck would've been!

Tornado took out my gazebo, child popped a tire on my car, child has the WORST news of their life (I won't elaborate), BOTH cats need veterinary care, and I really only wanted the luck for finances on the 14th. Nope. There's another chance on New Year's Eve.

I guess things could always be worse, but we've had an especially awful month.

I just keep giggling and thinking, good thing I said 🐇🐇

Oh dear, Rob. Sounds like you’ve been going through some rough times. Doesnt it seem like bad luck always comes in multiples? Mostly, i hope your child with the bad news is okay . Tires and gazebos can be replaced. I always say if you can fix it by throwing money at it, its not the end of the world. I dont want to minimize the plight of those who dont have adequate finances, though. Thats a huge stressor.

Anyway, hope January is much better for you and your family.

Awww Rob, how awful! At least you know you can only go up from here! :-)

And only a few more days until you can Rabbit again.

    Thanks ded!

These are the same struggles I, and likely you (everyone), went through. No less heartbreaking to watch. But that two happened at the same time is even worse. Poor dear. Keep them in your thoughts. I can't even hug it away. It'll take time, effort, and patience.

(Thanks jas! Maybe my New Year's Eve deal will bring a better year!)

Oh Rob, I’m sorry for the misfortunes. Whatever happened with your child, I hope things look better soon. Hugs to my neighbor to the north.

So sorry Rob...hope things can only get better from here!

"Luck" of the draw 😉 the tornado could have landed on house, someone could have been in a car accident... It really could have been worse!!!!

My child will get there. It's what we all suffer, and grow from.

I'd rather they experience it, they'll grow from it. If you don't experience it, you don't live!!!

I think we can always think of a worse situation. That gives us something to be grateful for. Kudos to you @rob333 (zone 7b) for your attitude! i dont believe in luck. 😄

Hope your cats and kid are all okay, Rob.

Hope things get better Especially for your kid As a parent, I know there’s nothing worse than seeing your kid go through something when there’s really nothing you can do

Rob sorry you as a parent have to watch your child struggle and sorry your child has to struggle. Struggle seems to equal life sometimes but so does love. Hope for way more of the latter for you and your family.

Rob sorry to hear about yours & childs bad luck.....3? Then it's over...♥ Be well my dear!

    3? Tornado, car, cat x 2, kid x 2

    Guess it's 3+3! 😚
