Carpet recommendations
Hello, I recently bought a carpet (160x230 cm) made of sisal to put under the dining table in the living room. Now I decided to return it since I didn't like the overall feeling.
Do you have any recommendations regarding a fitting carpet? My style is mid-century modern.
(This is the sisal carpet I sent back)
(This is the table without a carpet)
(This is the living room by daylight, the sofa will be replaced by the one below in February)
(The new soda we will receive in February)

4 years ago@Lyn Nielson, thanks for the feedback. Yes, I intend to get two carpets. So you would make the carpet under the dining table so big, that it only has a 4" space to the walls, like the red dotted lines in the image below?
What do you mean by a "good pad underneath will make all the difference"?

I think a rug under the table is a nice addition. the one you have is a tad too small.
bring it out a bit wider to where the red lines are

maybe something w/some color or pattern?
if you prefer the jute style, then get a nicer one like this
an Overdyed rug would look nice w/the vintage feel
they come in all sorts of colorsdon't do a cheap polypropelene rug. you'll know because they cost about $70 and are super thin

What do you think about this carpet (60 % wool and 40 % cotton)? It would have the right measurements with 200 x 300 cm.

PRO4 years agoWe might just recommend doing a rug under the sectional and not under the dining room table. The rug you did have under the table was a little too small so if you decide to do one again we recommend trying a larger size. Here are some of our designs below to show you what we mean.
