Not sure what kind of plant has those stalks (it looks a bit like a Peace Lily) but if the soil hasn’t been changed in seven years that may be your problem. Since it looks so forlorn anyway, why not trim each stalk back to just above a low ”ring” or ”section” which is where new growth will probably emerge, then clean the flower pot well and repot it using fresh soil.

Actually my dad repotted it for me last summer… I got this app that’s suppose to tell you want you have but everytime I take a picture… it gives me a different type of plant 🙄 My grand-mother gave me this plant but she has since passed… so I can’t ask her. And it’s the fact tha it’s from her that I absolutely don’t wanna loose it 😢
