Wow, you have good taste. Any one of those would work in the room. For me, it would be putty to warm it a bit and it goes well with the painted walls.

Do you have pics of the art? I'd also be looking at a narrow console to ground that TV.

Not a very "manly" piece of art, but if you use it then get the navy rug to pull those colors down to the floor.

Are you aiming for a more monochromatic look? Some of the rug choices and very similar to the wall color. Do you want contrast in the rug? I like the look of the navy, but you will need other blue elements to pull it together. Very smart choice to not go with the first picture you posted. It looks more like a day spa than a man cave ὠ9

I agree, hold off on the rug, till art is in place.

Honestly, I may forgo the shutters and just put window film on the windows. I despise dust, I guess it comes cleaning my own home for years lol

Will you be adding end tables with lamps? If you do, the lamp base will bring in color also.

So wait on the rug.

@njmomma i was gonna just go with film on the windows but from what i understand u can see in at night...i dont want to put the frosted one either because i do wanna see out...i was kinda thinking of not doing anything 🤷🏻‍♂️

Be aware that if those are new windows under warranty, applying film can invalidate the warranty.

I'd look for a rug to bring in some color and/or pattern, as right now it's all cave and not much personality. End table wood is great, but no more dark brown or it will disappear -- maybe gray, painted, or a natural mid-range wood tone.

Not a fan of the rugs. You may find it’s easier to make decisions if you first figure out how you want the room to feel and have decided on a colour scheme (there is so much inspiration on line).

I could see a textured, layered look, practical/durable rug, patterns, warm colors, black metal/wood tables, fun art with black frames, simple bamboo blinds and good lighting.

Choose a room you like and then start to focus on accessories/how room was pulled together.

I love your idea of the magazine covers! So excellent.

How about something like this end table/tray table lamp combo? lamp is dimmable.

Visual is not doing the lamp justice - but hopefully at least gives you the general idea.

Yes, you can for sure bring in blues, greys, etc. There are any number of ways you can put it together. Here are just a few:

I can’t tell what color the walls are. Gray? If so, I wouldn’t add more gray. What a sad color for a basement, IMO.

I like the navy rug too. And the brightly colored framed prints. I think you’re on the right track with those.

While I don’t call our basement a man cave, it is an entertainment space. We use color to separate different spaces within a great room concept and to brighten areas overall.
