Is that a walkway behind? I think I might center the (substantial) art on the couch, and once the baby is out of the playpen age, you can put an end table there with a lamp on the left end, which will help balance the door and make it look a bit more intentional.

There is a walkway behind the sofa. @acm do you mean that I can hang a big piece of art behind and center of the couch?

Is there enough clearance between the sofa and wall to put a console table against the wall?

I feel since there's a walkway behind the sofa-- which means the sofa/art don't make a connection being above/below one another, I would center art on the wall

Is there any reason you cannot rearrange things...move the playpen over to the left or another place in the room and center the sofa on the portion of the wall to the left of the door? That would solve the art issue.

Thank you all for the suggestions! The playpen is temp and will be moved. However the sofa can’t move to the center of the wall due to the location of TV
