Disgusting Bath Jets - help!!

last modified: 4 years ago

Our new place’s jetted tub is even worse than i had feared i cleaned it with bleach and dishwashing liquid - running it for longer than advised and rinsing it with several clean water tubs full after using it fir a month without the jets, just soaking, i ran the jets to clean it o

ut and the most disgusting stuff came out- mold algae skin- pics attched i have heard it runs about 3-4k to replace the jetted tub which i can’t afford right now so my questions:

1. is there a product that i can use to cover the jets so i can soak without water getting into the tubing and growing mold/algae?

2. if i buy a drop in tub in the same exact dimensons why would it be so expensive to replace the jetted tub?? in other words i wouldnt have to retile or anything. is it possible to replace it this way and have it not be pricey?
