Ps: thank you for the suggestion. Also- I talked to a fabricator today who said she had thus far in the past many years of installing never had a complaint. She was a Consentino recommended fabricator and fabricates all kinds of product including Dekton (Despite all the reviews I’ve read!).

Just had the Dekton Laurent installed last week. It is beautiful and we love it. Make sure you have a good installer able to water cut if you have any angles. The first installer we were working with wanted to put in 2 extra seams. We changed to an installer that had a Computerized water cutter and they did an amazing job.

Oh wow!! You did?! What color are your cabinets and tile?! It’s been so agonising figuring out our cabinets (we’re thinking off white flat and have grey large format tile)! We hope our doesn’t look to stark/sterile/cheap! I’d love to see pictures of your wonderful countertop!!

Hello! We've also had this worktop installed recently and it really is beautiful! However I'm unsure what to clean it with to keep the colour rich and stop discolouration/fading. Any suggestions would be helpful! At the moment just using Method daily kitchen surface cleaner but not sure if that's the best thing to use.

I would love to see pictures.  I am thinking about using this for my dining table.

I ordered this for my kitchen though Lowes & they commente connected me to a local installer that has great reviews but he says he’s never installed this color. He also says to get seams perfect is impossible. my island is so big it requires one. Please help, what do iI do?!

@John Gallagher How big is your island? Ours is a little larger than 4'x10' and there are no seams. We made sure our island was a full slab of Dekton. We did agree to a seam in a different smaller, inconspicuous section of the kitchen and it's not great. There's no way I would want a seam with Laurent on a large island.

I had Dekton Laurent installed last week and I am not happy with the color or texture. Both are very different from the sample. Purchased from Home Depot - also where the sample came from.

What Color/finish are your cabinet handles?! And where did you get them from?! Would love to know what handles everyone is using?!

May I ask the lead time needed for the Dekton Laurent? I made my initial purchase thru The Home Depot last week. I haven’t heard from the local fabricator yet. I’m worried about the availability of material. We are updating the master bath and I will be using this for the countertops.

HT : which cabinet and tiles did you ended choosing to go with your Dekton Laurent contertops?!!

I might go with the Laurent for my kitchen and am having a hard time deciding on a backsplash. Thanks!!

Soft white matte - flat panels with walnut trim

I used it in my recent Master Bath remodel and LOVE the choice. Bought through the Home Depot. No issues with getting it delivered on time.

We are scheduled for installation in 3 days and they are saying they cannot do a diagonal corner cut at the 90 degree angle. We are waiting to hear why. The abrupt transition is making us second guess our choice. Anyone have this issue?

We just purchased the Laurant from Home Depot and are having it installed on Thursday. We have honey oak cabinets (2000's) and thought the dark countertop would pop. We were able to make an appointment for the viewing of the slab to make sure we liked the color and patterns. I was also told about no 90 degree because they way they miter? The seam will be smaller without doing the corner/90 degree. I will post some before/after pics after Thursday. Sooo excited.

Hey all you guys with Dekton Laurent in your kitchen - what thickness did you go - in particular the island. I've had a sample from Home Depot and managed to smash it with a pestle dropped from 6" - I need to hear you guys are still thrilled as I absolutely love the Laurent after seeing the entire slab at Consentino

Didn’t know it came in different thickness?? I would go with the thickest option if using in the kitchen.

@HU-945853415 We went with the thickest option which I believe is 2cm. It's been 3 years now since installation and we've had no issues whatsoever. We have it on our kitchen countertops and island, coffee area that has a sink, a bar area with sink and on a fireplace hearth bench. Not one single chip.

You’re lucky- we have had many chips and are mortified!

@H T I'm so sorry. It's so annoying that people have such different experiences with Dekton. I'm convinced it all comes down to the fabricator being properly trained and certified with this product.

H T - has Dekton replaced the chipped slabs or how have they dealt with this?
