The rectangle is same shape as your nightstand. How would a wooden one look?

More pics of space would help for lamp suggestions.

I had to chuckle at this post. Talk about first world problems, but such is Houzz, and I love it, and I get it. I rifle through the 3 packs of Puffs to find the least offensive pattern as I'm not yet at the decor moment to find a tissue box cover.

I suggest choosing a lamp first since the scale of that will affect the negative space and thus, the best choice of tissue box shape. You might want to start a new thread and include photos of the entire room as well as dimensions in order to get the best advice.

Your table is lovely. Perhaps wall mounted lighting would be to it's best advantage. The photo suggests a lot of hard and maybe reflective surfaces, so some texture/textile would soften that.

I like the matching shape, but think an organic material like wood is nice.

WOW this is really an interesting dilemma I never have wondered about this I guess since I have never had tissues beside my bed . In this case keep them in the drawer they are not decor items even if the boxes are fancy. As for lamps I need to see your space .Please do not start a new post just add to this one.
