New house kitchen

Hello,
We are planning on doing the transitional style for our new house. Our kitchen is not huge nor is it super small. It is a medium size kitchen.
We wanted two toned cabinets for our kitchen and our designer suggested the following combination:
White top cabinets, blue base cabinets, hard wood floor, quartz counter.
Would love to get more input and thoughts on this combination.
Thanks in advance!

Looks like everything on HGTV. Check.

Where in these choices are your preferences, your style and imagination? Maybe take some more time, if possible, to consider that rather than a designer who doesn't know you.

I agree with @Jen K (7b, 8a). When I started planning my reno I knew I wanted green cabinets with Café matte white appliances. When I started looking at cabinets I saw a wood I had never really noticed before (natural red birch) and became obsessed. My kitchen went in a completely different direction.

My designer was as creative as a rock and I would have ended up with crappy cabinets and cookie cutter finishes, had I not done some legwork. Instead, I have custom wood cabinets (natural red birch), stainless appliances and dark navy, yes navy, Cambria countertops.

The color combination looks fine, but it is a trendy choice. You need to decide if you like it because you have seen this mix over and over, or because you really like it and will still be happy when the trends switch to warmer colors in the next couple of years, as is starting to happen right now.

I do like the white and blue combination. Its a refreshing change than what i have now in my current kitchen which is warmer tones (wood/stained cabinets).
My concern is if white and blue will get outdated soon as I don’t want to get my cabinets repainted again any time soon
None of the wood stain options they offered are to my liking.

OP - as long as you like it and feel its a change for you - DO IT! I think warmer tones could look great with it. Can you check out the samples for a weekend and live with them a bit to see how they feel?

    Thank you!
The wood we are choosing is a
    warmer tone, i think.
Unfortunately they don’t allow us to take the samples home

any of the three beige options on lower row for base cabinets.....along with the light choice on the upper row for wall cabs.........many countertop options this way. very nice.
