First, you'll need a groundcover. Railroad vine and sunshine mimosa are pretty. But you need to tell us conditions and zone. Is your soil wet, normal or dry? Sun/shade. Any other things like particularly acidic or alkaline?

The response has been muted perhaps because the title says Florida native plants and the request is about a new front walkway and patio. The hardscape comes first no matter the location or planting style. Design the hardscape first.
