Window decisions

The builder gave us the assignment of choosing windows. We are down to Anderson and Pella. We like the idea of triple pane windows in the Pella brand plus the enclosed shade/blind options with them as well. What are your
comments on these brands?

Both are good. I don't like the internal blinds in most situations, however, because they are a very narrow slat and look very busy. In a door where light control is difficult, ok. But in windows........no.

I didn't get either brand, but I got triple pane windows with krypton and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!

I live in New England and have NEVER been as comfortable as I have been this Winter.

You have already put your windows in, but Anderson has better and worse versions, is what I have heard. My friend put Anderson double pane in and said that he had leaks. He is the only person I have met who is unhappy with his insulating windows, but it could be installer error.

I am the only person I have met who literally jumps up and down for joy that I can keep my thermostat at 60 degrees 24/7 and be so comfortable in the Winter and it also helps in the Summer, but my window choices were more about warm enough.

I didn't do blinds in the middle. I wonder if you like them if you got them.

I got honeycomb blinds and am quite contented with them, but the blinds in the middle are a gadget that I wondered if it would keep them from ever having to be cleaned or if it would cause problems.
