We have a 1k square foot basement that is ground level in the back, already plumbed for a bathroom. The one hitch: half the concrete floor is 6'11" from the ceiling, and in our county it needs to be 7' to count as liveable space. The other half of the basement is already at 7'. How crazy would it be to try to lower the concrete by *just* like 2 inches to get it permitable as liveable space and be able to add a nicer floor? Is it worth it?
