No iron or clock. What would look great is artwork as previously suggested.

Put the feet of the sofa "on" the edge of the rug. What else is going on in the room?

It's possible that your rug is too small.

That's why I want to see the rest of the room.

Thanks to all for your great suggestions..I'm still searching for the perfect artwork..I found these but I do not like either one.

Definitely artwork over black metal or mirror or clock. Could you also move your sofa a bit more to the right? Seems too close to the edge. Could you turn your rug 90°, the other side might have more length to work better with your sofa? Might try new pillows that have a slight touch of the blue color in them to tie the wall into the space.
Good luck!

Thanks..i will try to turn rug..what do you think of this large floral artwork? I didn't hang yet ..just waiting for opinions before I commit. How does the blush pillow and throw look or should I do blue accent pillow and throw? The smaller picture is going on adjacent wall.

Your pictures of the artwork did not post.

Please post a picture of the entire room, you decorate a room not 1 wall. Looks like you may need an end table with a lamp or a coffee table & floor lamp. And perhaps the sofa needs to be centered on the wall.

3D Metal World Map

Here's the pic I found. Do I go with navy blue or salmon colored pillows?

Barbara, the picture you are showing is very pretty, but, its not the right one. You need either a set of two, or a larger picture. I love the color showing from your hallway, and since you see both at the same time, I would make sure the artwork you select, also has that color in it.
