I had Tranq at the old house in 10a. The first year only a few yellowish and unattractive blooms that smelled like a catbox. The second year the scent improved, and the third year (the last before we moved) was fantastic — lots of large, beautiful, fragrant flowers. Repeat, though, never matched Carding Mill, Munstead, Darcey Bussell, or Tamora.

dianela, Im always stunned by your roses. So pretty!

Thank you Vapor! they only look like that with regular spraying tho.

I have Olivia, she’s going into her 3rd year. A slow grower for me, her fist year was nothing special. This past year was much better, she doubled in size and was in almost continuous bloom. I had her in a w and moved her into the ground, so maybe that helped. I moved her mid season, cut her back to 8 inches, defoliated, gave her done fertilizer and rooting hormone, and she recovered in a week with new growth everywhere. Very resilient and in our hot, scorching, SoCal summer! She was still blooming away last week when I cut her back for the winter and she’s already sprouting her spring growth.

Saw I had a typo… Olivia was not in a “w” she was in a pot!
