Design Dilemma Basements Bathrooms

Beadboard half way or Vertical shiplap to ceiling?

Should we do vertical shiplap to the ceiling OR beadboard halfway? This is for a basement half bath with a very low ceiling and house is from 1910. Sharing inspiration photos of each below. Even the wall color of my inspo pics are similar :) Wondering if the vertical shiplap might look too 70s basement or if the half wall will make the room feel even more choppy?

The full wall definitely makes the room seem bigger. But if you do the half wall you can put up some fabulous wallpaper. I tend to prefer a half wall for most bathrooms, but if your house has wonky walls, then use the full sized pieces. It will help,preserve your home.

@RedRyder I was thinking wallpaper with half beadboard too. We will have new drywall so the walls will be plumb :P

Then go for a half wall and wonderful wallpaper. I’m thinking of this for my own half bath but can’t make up my mind about the wallpaper part….. share if you find anything you love.
