Granite Sink Cutout Woes!

Our beautiful granite countertop was delivered and installed yesterday. We noticed that the sink cut out does not have perfectly straight edges and in at least two of the corners it sort of flares back a bit as if they needed to make a wide turn. In some spots I swear the cut is not perpendicular to the counter. On top of that, some sort of chemical they used to clean up the silicone has stained our stainless steel sink. the edges are "almost" flush with the sink (I would have preferred an overhang to hide imperfections) but where the counter does not cover the sink enough (about 1/8 inch) it looks like there are gaps between the sink and countertop. How can edges look so good and the cutout be so bad?

Any thoughts?
