I'm thinking a round table might be nice to break up all of those sqaures/rectangles on the wall, the room, and the island.

quick photoshop w/some diff light ideas

At the very least if you do a rectangle, go w/softer chairs to soften all the hard edges

round options

i'd also do a rug of some type. this natural jute shown here, and a few others above, is a good option

I like round because of the three adjacent doorways. I think it’ll flow better and be smoother to move through the room. Kind of like a traffic circle :)

Following…..my vote: round

Thank you so much! such a good point regarding the 3 doorways i hadnt thought if that but so true so many rectangles! @Susan @Sofia @pat1250 @

IMO we need 2 measurements and do you need 6 seats ? Cut out a round circle the size you need add 3' all the way around and see it it fits is the easiest way but to get some idea here we need the other measurement

hi @Patricia Colwell Consulting Regarding Depth of that space.... its 135" to the first cabinet off to the side + 158" to the island, And yes I'd like 6 seats for sure (wish i could have more!)

Oval - softer curves, but enough length.

Round would be my choice, if there is enough room behind chairs for passage; you need 3 feet behind each chair to pull out, sit, and push in chair.
