Sputnik seems like a great idea for your space. It's a lighter look that lets the eye travel through to your beautiful art. Love all of your teal! I like the contrast of brass or gold against the teal. Black won't do as much for the space.

Thank you - which one would you go for :

#3 is my favorite. Then #2, but spend some time looking at that one to make sure that clear glass shades are comfortable for you. (Lots of us have trouble with glare from clear shades.)

Thank you so much- i’ll get them both to see in person- appreciate your help!

@mcarroll16 could you also comment for my coffee table? I’m just not sure if getting a black leather with the sofa would limit my accent chair selection? Leather coffee table is final sale since i’m hesitating

Oh yikes. I'm not a pro, I feel like I may have overstepped my design limits with my light recommendation, let alone any coffee table recommendation. But since you asked. I like that table. I think black would look fine with your rug and your sofas. I'm not sure about the brass, just because it looks like your other metal elements in the room are silver. But mostly, I'm unsure about the scale. It's hard to tell from just pictures. The table looks pretty large. Your sofas could probably support that size, but you've got a small TV and console. I'm worried that a large table is going to dwarf the TV and really make the room feel out of balance.

To answer your other question, a black table probably does start limiting your color options for an accent chair, compared to a wood table. But I don't know if it really imposes more limits than you should already be following. I would recommend that your chair tie in to the colors of your sofa pillows and blankets. That would be my advice no matter what table you had. And again, not a pro or someone with much design expertise at all.

Hahah you are really good in my opinion. Tv will go away with the tables underneath- i’m hoping to have a fireplace built there. We liked the size of the leather ottoman and that’s the only one we could see in person so leaning towards that but its non returnable so i wanted to know your opinion.i’m planning to put walnut trays on top to tie it back to the walnut elements of the house. But i was thinking black leather accent chair now i’m not so sure about that since the coffee table also be black leather ( distressed)
I have all sort of metals throughout the room so i’m thinking it would be fine - i hope. I have gold brass chrome and black 😄
I’m also considering to get this bar cabinet from CB which i liked.

I'm not excited about a black leather accent chair. Not because of the table, but because it seems a bit heavy for your space. Difference between a low table and a taller chunkier item. But maybe if it's something like an Eames chair, where the leather is wrapped with warm wood? That would look great with the table and with your other mid-century furniture.

    Love the bar cabinet!

Yes i agree- love the Eames Chair but so expensive for me right now but i’ll see if i can find anything with wood. I love the ones on second photo but not sure where they are from. Thank you so much for your help indeed!

I agree with the 3rd chandelier for your room. You need to move the piano off the outside wall to an interior wall. Go for the leather coffee table black would not work. Please remove the plaid throw it is "country looking" and doesn't play well with your room. TV wall and buffet wall in DR need some work

Hi thank you :) plaid throw is temporary its
just working now to protect my sofa from my cat :-) there wont be a tv wall there will be a fire place instead under the art. I couldnt understand the coffee table comment go for it or not?

What changes should i made to the buffet wall? Thank you in advance!

Oh I love that chair! Black leather but light open lines. And I feel you on the Eames. Don't have the money for one myself, either.

It's time to go do a quick grocery run before the hungry teenagers get home from school. I'll think about your buffet wall while I grab Pop Tarts. :) First pass though--not sure why the chair is there at all. Hard to imagine sitting there--feels like it might be right in a walkway? If it needs to stay, put the vases and art on side of the buffet, chair on the other.

    Hahah i
    Just love
That chAir not sure why. I dont have a light now so i cannot retake but i’ll send you a photo with daylight tomorrow. Take care don’t make the teens wait! Thanks so much

I agree, I love that chair! Absolutely want it to be somewhere in your house. Or in my house. :) Just feels out of place right there. Would it fit in the living room as an accent chair? Or could it go beside the other teal chair next to the piano, maybe with a very small table, so you have a small seating group there at the window?

The buffet needs fewer items. The bar tray, and then the plant OR the stack of books. What about bar tray and plant on the buffet, book stack on the left side of the console that sits under the art. Not sure what item is sitting on the right side of the buffet. Could it go on top of the piano?

I’ll think about all and do some arrangements tomorrow - the reason i put the chair is also to balance the wall - thanks much i’ll send more photos tomorrow.

Too many items on it and a mirror should reflect something worth seeing twice. Hang the art over the buffet. Once it's hung take a closer picture so we can help you curate the items

And yes get the leather coffee table. It is great
