I have a 10 X 12 shed with 7 foot side walls and gambrel roof, There is a 4' loft in each end.

Because of building codes, I do not want to put 120 electricity in the shed. While the two lofts are great for storage, they present a problem with lighting. If the light is in the middle of the shed, they block light to the floor.

Would a rope light as use in landscaping, strung around the shed under the lofts, create sufficient light to do minor work in the shed? minor work check the oil in motors, air pressure in the tires, etc. From looking at Lowes, they appear to come with solar operation
