I love that Alpine Ibex pic, So awe inspiring. (And the jokes too. One of the few times I get the DW to look at the Hosta forum). She told me she had a dream the other night about me and my six mistresses. She woke up feeling pissed off. Then she told me they had names like Hosta, Daylilly etc. We had a laugh about it last night. I suppose I need to get her something really nice for Valentine's Day - any suggestions?

Peren, Venetian Star is huge…..didn’t know it grew that big and the flowers are so prolific!! Everything in your garden does so well….you must work very hard it……Well we all do, but you seem to have such a huge garden!

Shadow, I like that Velvet Moon…. It’s not always easy to find hosta with a very light edge and a darker middle…..at least to my thinking.

Steve, of course I am like hosta_maker, I thought “So Sweet” but that’s more for you (haha) and I am sure you have it….. so how about cooking her and you a couple of nice juicy steaks, I like Ribeye, but whatever’s your pleasure…… and maybe a lobster tail too, nice wine….. oh wait ==>>

I just have Vulcan. But for two years in a row it has sent up flower blooms twice, once at the regular time and again in September. It sits along the fence in almost total shade. Go figure….

Debra- that would be nice - a nice juicy BBQ steak and cheese cake. Good idea! I will start to plant the seed in his head later on tonight. I make a pretty good homemade pizza and he does always compliment me when I make it. I think I will make that for him and cheese cake.( my favorite)

Those alpine Ibex, do they ever fall off? Hope not! And I can't figure what the heavy plant crossing is about.

There's a lot of great looking V hostas. ....I'm liking everyone's Vulcan's.

My Venetian Star is a really good grower but has never flowered.

Very nice V's everyone..all of the Valley's varieties are special..for me Valley's Lemon Squash and Venetian Star are especially beautiful..

I have Venusta..this is an old pic..May 27 2020..

Venusta is the mini between the stone and the concrete planter..the tulip poplar and impatiens were volunteers..
