I recently bought a fruit tree that I’m going to plant in my backyard. The problem is that my backyard has clay soil. Quite often during heavy rain we find puddles and ”flooding”. I’ve already dug a 5ft deep hole. I poured some water into the hole anf the next day it was very muddy. So i know the drainage is still not very good. Any suggestions on what I can do to improve my soil?
