Check out cable lighting for the actul light it can be hung at human level and then you will just need to find a fan Looks cool from what I see.

I second cable lighting, or some sort of semi-indirect lighting mounted to the beams. A single central fixture will give really unpleasant lighting in that room and if the fan is on a longish rod it will vibrate the lighting. I would probably light that room primarily with table and floor lamps. My third floor has an open raftered ceiling like this and it came with a central fan/light and we hated the light it cast. We let the bulb burn out and use only the fan. (Haven't gotten to updating that room yet.

I would not expect a fan light to do any more than what you have now. i would be investing in an arch lamp to go over your sofa for actual light. I also see you have some track lighting up there. You need to replace those track heads, or the light bulbs and get a very narrow beam spread, so it forces the light down as it spreads. I would in fact say skip the light on the fan altogether. Its not going to get you what you need. you might also get some plug in light sconces to put on the white painted wall.
