Thanks all it takes a long long time to make progress. i was starting to lose steam after the first ten years. once i figured out reds and perfecting most parts of the process things really picked up.

keep all the ones you love and just tuck in the new colors to make it all work. i abandoned mulch a long time ago. just crowd them together and eventually they shade out the weeds.

I have a lot of yellow. Even my conifers are yellow. I've heard most psychotics love yellow, but I don't listen to me anymore. I love the multi-hued yellows when placed in the right lighting like Frisian Pride.

and Gilt by Association might be my favorite.

You can really tell how the sun hits the front edge of it earlier than the rest of the plant.
