I would flank the fireplace with matching cabinets. There is enough interest on that wall and the open-concept, lack of-a-right-wall will make a wall treatment look odd.

I really like the changes. Only thing I would change is not having matching side table. Too many things in two's. Also, pick a color such as tangerine and have some color in the throw pillows.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 2nd room is the inspiration room. See the difference in windows.
