Thank you all! It was fun for me too! I’m glad you enjoyed the quotes, some of them made me laugh out loud, others made me think a bit. Spring can’t get here soon enough……I do have daffodils poking their heads up.

Maryl, how about letting us know what you ordered?

A neighbor cut down some trees that shaded my back yard. Out go the few shade plants…..getting a few daylilies from a gardener that lives fairly close to me, I will have to share the names..cant remember right now

I will say that Debra (not for the first time) did a bit of magic getting me to buy an older UF, Holly Dancer and our new friend Steve in Ohio got me with another older multi award winner Vanilla Fluff. Compared to my beloved 1976 intro of Yesterday Memories these 1988 intros are youngsters, but any daylily that performs well is a winner in my book regardless of the age................Maryl

Maryl, did you replace your much loved Coral Corduroy you lost last year during the polar vortex? I know you were lookin for it.

Kate: I found some very small seedling sized plants of Coral Corduroy at only one place. It was nip and tuck if they would even make it last year. They all remain in a 6 inch pot overwintering in my garage. This was one of my oldest daylilies and I'd never lost it before. Shows you how bad it was last year. Now they are saying that after temperatures in the high 70's this week, we are going back into the 20's at night next week....Scary................Maryl

Debra: I think everyone knows by now that while I can admire UFs in others gardens, they just look "off" to me in my own garden, but I try and keep an open mind. Your picture and subsequent answers to my questions about Holly Dancer pushed me over the edge on this UF......... I don't know how many people used to watch Family Matters, but I always remembered Steve Urkel's line to Lara when for the umpteenth time he asked her out on a date and this time she gave a slightly less then negative response. So I pass this on to you with Miss Goldie Gold Digger and now Holly Dancer sitting in my garden as a direct result of your enabling. I hope it makes you smile:
