So I’m making these comments without being able to see the whole room. You are not taking advantage of all the space in the room. Getting a room sized rug would help. I would place the sectional so the back is to the wall so you can see the view outside. Then to balance the sectional, I would get a chair that is the same scale and back height as the sectional as show. Add at large art piece, gallery wall or graphic wallcovering on the long blank wall.

Thank tou Nancy, appreciate your suggestions, the entryway into the great room is to the right of the room so putting the sectional in that spot would not work with the walkway into the great room plus we dont want to look at the view in the backyard, its to glaring with brightness that is blnding and we have neighbors right close behind, that just wont work.
