New house. Made this sitting room into an office for husband with these great doors I found on Craigslist for 500:) I'm having trouble with the black crown molding and bookshelves. Any suggestions? In person it just seems so dark. The color now is Black. Like the blackest black at Sherwin. I thought maybe grey? Or like a Urbane Bronze color? Off white? I'm having trouble because the Sherwin Williams doesn't have paint samples here!! And the color visulizer app thing I find impossible to use. I'm open to painting anything. Ceiling, cabinets, walls. The bookcases are built in. Other problem is the crown is knotty Alder. With big knots!! So if I were to paint a white type color the knots will really stand out. Can't really see them now because of the dark color and up pretty high. The chandelier will be changed to a simple two tier black chandelier about the same size with LED. All the candle lights on this one make this room HOT! Floor would like to make a wood about the same color as doors. But will get area rug in the mean time. Thanks so much for any ideas!!!!
