What variety are we talking about? Its possible that someone reading this forum has it, and has propagated it.

I don't know the name; a rose friend found it growing in his driveway when he bought his house and he just called it "the driveway rose". I posted a photo of it last year on this forum and asked people to identify it and no one came close (they made guesses and posted photos of those guesses but none resembled it very much). Could i get a photo to you to look at ?

i wonder if you could do cuttings yourself? there are a lot if suggestions in the Rose Propagation forum. It’s fun and satisfying to do.

Don't think there are any rose producers in central Maryland. Best bet is to find a nearby nursery that roots other shrubs. I'm sure they're pretty busy now with spring approaching, so good luck finding someone willing to help you.

I'll second sending Steve of Wisconsin Roses cuttings. so he can bud a few plants for you.

You can do it....Take a cutting with a few eyes...three at the most but Leave on some leaves for strength and survival of your cutting. Angle cut with a sterile knife right below the bud and dip this end into the rooting hormone. Use a younger not an old woody cultivar for your prospective cutting for optimum results. You need rooting hormone powder and vermiculite or soil that contains at least half peat moss for good drainage. You need a larger pot that you can cover with plastic for continual moisture. Do at least 5 cuttings in your pot so you will get at least a few rooted babies. Don't let the soil dry out and place pot in shady area. Too much sun and heat will destroy your efforts. Cutting should be rooted in about 6 weeks. You will know if the roots start to grow out of the pot or the cuttings will no longer pull out when you tug slightly. Any mold happening...then pull out the affected cuttings and discard. Don't over water and check every few days. The ideal place is a cutting house where the mist comes on every hour to water the cuttings. However, the average gardener does not have this kind of set -up available to them.
