We are updating our kitchen, which has beautiful natural cherry cabinets. We plan to replace all of the countertops and the island and desk/wine rack area with painted cabinets. We have fallen in love with cedar green as a nice contrast/enhancement with the cherry. Our issue is countertops: we love Taj Mahal quartzite but I'm not seeing any green tone in Taj Mahal. It is more cream/beige/grey. It looks lovely with the cherry but not sure about the green. Is that too much contrast--cherry, green, Taj Mahal? The alternative for the countertops so far is calcatta valentin quartz--nice but not as lovely as the Taj Mahal. Or should we decide on Taj Mahal and do soft cream cabinets?
