First, the overhang should be based on the final height of the counter the stools will be at. Minimum overhangs:

• Table-height counters (30" of the finished floor) -- 18"
• Counter-height counters (36" off the finished floor) -- 15"
• Bar-height counters (42" off the finished floor) -- 12"

The width of the counter will determine how many seats/stools you can fit:

• For counter- & bar-height counters, you need a minimum of 24" linear space per seat. E.g., a 6' wide island can fit 3 seats/stools (3 stools x 24" = 72" (6')).
• For table-height, 30" linear space is often now recommended (up from 24")

So

• What is the height of your counters?
• How wide is your counter run?

The height is 42" and one side is 92" and the other side is 74".

Seating Overhang...12" overhang is OK then, especially as it's a wet bar and not meant to be used for meals. [If it were meant to be used for meals, I would strongly recommend an 18" deep top to accommodate a plate + glass without worrying about knocking something over onto the counter below. A 4.5" thick pony wall would give the added counter space (12" overhang + 4.5" pony wall + 1.5" counter overhang on the other side = 18").]

Number of seats...First, are the dimensions you gave for the current structure? Meaning, do the measurements not include the 12" overhang?

If so, then you really have 106" and 86" to work with. (92" + 12" = 104" and 74" + 12" = 86") That would mean you should be able to fit 4 seats on the 104" side and 3 seats on the 86" side. Like this:
